Early and fun.
What were you doing before CrossFit?
Before CrossFit I ran (a lot) and did body weight home workout DVD’s like P90X. I was running so much that it was affecting one of my knees, so I wanted to mix my movements up.
How did you hear about CrossFit and/or CrossFit Trifecta?
I talked about trying CrossFit for a while with friends and then heard about CrossFit Trifecta on Living Social.
Give us some insight as to your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Trifecta.
I enjoy a challenge so I thought it was great! I am not very coordinated though so I definitely felt like a newbie (and still do) when it comes to lifting.
Tell us a little about then vs. now. In regard to your fitness level before you found CrossFit Trifecta to now.
I was pretty much strictly a runner before CrossFit so I was cardio fit, but not strong. I am much stronger now and especially see a difference in my core strength. I make fairly slow progress, but progress is what keeps me going!
Do you have any special or favorite CrossFit Trifecta memories/moments?
I like when I can do a movement I couldn’t before- like my first pull up and first double under.
What advice would you give to someone just joining CrossFit Trifecta?
If I were giving advice to a new join I would say a couple things. First, don’t get intimidated by something new. You may get hooked! Also, use modifications if you need to use them. Not everyone can Rx all the CrossFit workouts and that’s okay.
